Thank you so much for your comment...Dear Anonymous,
Thank you so much for your comment. I love letting go of things in my heart and then hearing the hearts of others on situations. I appreciate your "food" :)
I agree we only do what the Lord asks of us. I reread Leviticus and there is lots in that chapter about things we shouldn't do...but we do anyway. "Do not spread slander among your people, do not hate your brother in your heart, no not seek revenge or bear a grudge, no not wear clothing woven of two kinds of animals, do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard (hopefully if you are female, you clip off some edges of a beard. :) )"
I understand where you are coming from.
I also want to clarify that I didn't go get tattoos with anyone. Someone, not in faith, heard about my tattoo and asked me about it. I was able to get into the Word. They were confessing sin to me.
The piercing was my idea after seeing a small one on a friend. After I mentioned my fear of getting it done, a friend who has them all over went with me. After spending time together (having dinner and them coming to my house) we were able to share stories of our lives.
The Lord can use any time to open a door for ministering.
God knows my heart and He knows I was not trying to justify anything. I am merely stating that it doesn't matter what I have done...everyone has the same/different issues. The person confronting me about the tattoo has issues of her own that she is working through and thats where we need to be.
The Lord asks us to watch our dealings with money because it is the root of all kinds of evil. So if you are racking up credit cards, taking out loans, etc.
The Lord asks us to not be prideful because His presence cannot reside with us. (Psalm 10:11)
If you are lusting with your eyes, God asks to gouge it out.
God asks you to forgive others (Titus 3:2).
I am sure you know the Word. I was just listing some of the things that I feel has been put on my heart, because you are right. We are all sinners, so we cannot judge each other. Jesus says, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone..." (John 8:7).
There is no justifying here, only santification.
Thank you so much for your thoughts! :)

Lacy-
It's never too late...for stretching! *shaking finger*
So glad I didn't get the peace tat! ha!
Miss you!!!Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11293743228273594338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3957981098311599377.post-90914096653768494902011-01-17T14:16:59.222-08:002011-01-17T14:16:59.222-08:00Love it Wendy. Guess because I'm rounding the last turn before 30, I'm wondering "why now?" about everything.
Wishing I'd gotten into my interests earlier, but I agree, it's never too late.
Thanks for the kick in the pants I've been needing.

Oh and BTW, soooooo glad you didn't get the make peace tat. :)Lacyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13415420941287060720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3957981098311599377.post-9103879720319699592011-01-17T11:49:33.730-08:002011-01-17T11:49:33.730-08:00It seems that the end of your post kind of sounds ...It seems that the end of your post kind of sounds like you are trying to justify your choices (i.e. checking how you spend your money etc). We are all sinners, so we cannot judge each other. We can only do what the Lord asks of us. I believe that you still could have ministered to your friends without getting a tattoo or piercing with them. Leviticus 19:28 states: ‘Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORD.

Just some food for thought. Have a nice day.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
